Three grant schemes for researchers: deadlines nearing

Our grant schemes: making Wales a great place to be a researcher

Our close work with researchers across Wales’, from universities to industry to the third-sector, means we know how important, and difficult, it is to find that little bit of money needed to set up a research network or run a collaborative workshop.

That’s where our various grant schemes can have a major impact and three of them are currently accepting applications.

Two of them are open to researchers at all stages of their careers and across all research sectors; the third is aimed specifically at early-career researchers.

But do hurry, because the closing dates are nearing fast.

1. Research Culture Network Grants: up to £3000 to create or sustain a network that addresses a specific challenge or deficit within the research landscape. Open to all researchers. Deadline: 14th October.
   
2. Research Workshop Grant Scheme: up to £1,000 to fund a workshop to develop a new research idea collaborating across different disciplines, institutions or organisations. Open to all researchers. Deadline: 14th October.
   
3. Wales-Ireland Early Career Researcher Mobility Scheme: up to £2,000 to help researchers carry out primary research, build collaborations and access equipment or training in Ireland. Deadline: 27th October.
