Election Process
Election to the Fellowship is a rigorous process, with existing Fellows involved at all stages of nomination and assessment. We welcome nominations of people from all backgrounds, experiences, views, beliefs and cultures.

The timetable for this year’s process is as follows:
1 June to 31 October 2022
Nominations submitted
November – December 2022
Independent assessments sought for each nomination
January – February 2023
Nominations assessed by Scrutiny Committees
March 2023
Vice-Presidents propose shortlist to the Society’s Council
March 2023
Council finalises list of Nominees
April 2023
Fellowship votes on the Nominees
A nomination is made by a Proposer, supported by a Seconder. They must both be Fellows of the Society. For full information on the process, please read the following documents:
