We were hugely saddened to hear the news of the death of Professor Chris Williams. He was a valuable member of the Society, chairing one of our committees and will be missed enormously. We offer our deepest sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues.

We were saddened to hear of the recent death of one of our Fellows, Professor Tony Ford, who was Emeritus Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, in South Africa, where he had lived and worked since 1970.
