In August, thanks to the work of our staff, we received the quality mark from the Charity Excellence Framework.

This mark offers demonstrable evidence to funders and other stakeholders of our commitment to excellence. The assessment for the mark covered every area of activity from promoting good governance to maximising strategic impact.

We hoped that by filling out the assessment we would become aware of areas we could improve in. We were delighted to find that we are already demonstrating our commitment to excellence enough to qualify for the mark. There are, however, still ways we can further improve. The framework has offered a number of resources which we plan to use to implement the best policies and practices across the Society’s activities. The assessment has also helped us to identify what areas to focus on.
