Professor Taylor has made groundbreaking contributions to heterogeneous catalysis, influencing energy, sustainability, green chemistry, and environmental protection.

His work on environmental catalysis has advanced life support systems and atmospheric emission control, leading to breakthroughs that have been commercialised worldwide. These innovations are used in submarines, deep-sea diving, firefighting, and mining, protecting against carbon monoxide poisoning and saving thousands of lives every day.

His contributions to these technological advancements has placed him in the top 2% of researchers globally in Stanford University’s annual World Ranking of Scientists.
