Different ways to give

There are many different ways to leave a gift in your will. You may to wish to consider the Society, and any amount you might choose to give would be very welcome. You can give:

  • A share of your estate (known as a residuary legacy)
  • A fixed sum of money (a pecuniary legacy)
  • Land, buildings or other possessions

If you have already made a will, it is very easy to make an addition (known as a codicil).

For estates greater than the inheritance tax threshold of £325,000, your estate will have the benefit of not paying 40% tax on your gift to the Society.

Remember A Charity provides useful resources and links to further information which can help.
