11:30am, Thursday 6th August, Science and Technology Village
Drawing on her expertise as a physical geographer who studies rapid climate changes in the history of the Earth, Professor Siwan Davies will show how evidence of climate changes in the past helps us understand the extent and speed of change that is happening today.
As a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales, Professor Davies is part of a community of experts who contribute to public understanding of the great challenges of Wales and the world, including the climate crisis and the development of sustainable solutions.
The talk will offer the audience an opportunity to understand the science behind the climate crisis, but also to consider what that means for Wales, local communities, and the generations to come.
This lecture is delivered jointly by the Learned Society of Wales and the Science and Technology Village of the Eisteddfod.
