Professor Yvonne Wren

Professor of Speech and Language Therapy, Cardiff Metropolitan University

Professor Wren’s research has led to earlier and more accurate identification of speech, language, and communication needs in children. This helps professionals intervene more effectively and at critical developmental stages. She has contributed to the development and evaluation of screening tools, has influenced national clinical guidelines and has supported bilingual and culturally appropriate approaches to assessment and therapy. Through her collaborations with the NHS and education sectors, her work has improved service design, delivery, and outcomes for children and families.
