Professor Matthews supports the growth and intensity of the Welsh policy development and leadership system through his roles as a leadership mentor, board member of the Wales Centre for Public Policy, Governor at Cardiff Metropolitan University, and visiting Professor in Economic Geography at Cardiff University, where he is a frequent guest lecturer.
