Dr Padma Anagol
Reader in Modern Asian History, Cardiff University
Padma Anagol is a gender and women’s historian of colonial India. Her pioneering work reconceptualises women’s agency in the Global South. She is on the editorial board of Women’s History Review, and South Asia Research and was an editor of Cultural and Social History. She was the Asia consultant for BBC History Magazine (2001-2019). Her current concern with BLM and decolonising the curriculum led her to a consultancy role with the International Baccalaureate Organisation and GCSE Wales.
