Professor Burke is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. He was President of the Operational Research Society between 2020 and 2022. His research lieProfessor Clifton has built up an international research profile with a wealth of publications about the foundational and circular economy; creativity and innovation; regional culture and branding; remote working and coworking networks; networks and SMEs; and policy-making for economic development. He has helped shape national policy for bodies such as Welsh Government, Federation of Small Businesses Wales, and Innovate UK.
