Professor Neil Loader
FLSW
Professor of Physical Geography, Swansea University
Professor Loader is a physical geographer experienced in the development and application of stable isotope techniques for geochronology and the study of paleoenvironmental change. He specialises in the interrogation of natural archives, such as tree rings, peat, and pollen. He uses these to reconstruct climatic change beyond the period of instrumental observations and to study the response and resilience of forest ecosystems to contemporary environmental change.
