Dr Mahaboob Basha

External Relations and Engagement Manager, Swansea University

In his role as external relations manager at Swansea University, Dr Basha has expanded the university’s global network and fostered high-profile collaborations, particularly across the Middle East and Far East. He founded the Sketty Youth Club and Sketty Tea Lounge to support BAME communities, engaging over 120 young people and 50 elders. Dr Basha is a recognised advocate for racial equality and diversity, honoured with the British Empire Medal, St David’s Day Award, and the Merri Williams Award for his contributions to public service and community cohesion.
