Professor Delyth James

Professor in Pharmacy & Behavioural Medicine, Swansea University and Professor of Health Psychology in Pharmacy Practice, Cardiff Metropolitan University

As a registered pharmacist, Professor James’ work draws on psychological theory to address problems with how people use medication. She has a track-record in leading research and teaching that informs pharmacy policy, practice and service delivery. She is also is a world-leading authority on developing the consultation skills of people working in pharmacy. Professor James has transformed clinical practice through the development of a validated framework to support medicines-related consultations. This has been used in the training of 28,000 pharmacists in England and Wales.
