Professor Caroline Lear

Carrie Lear is Professor of Past Climates and Earth Systems Change. She has developed novel geochemical techniques for quantifying past changes in climate, and has applied these to reveal insights into Earth’s climate system. Professor Lear founded and chaired the UK Paleoclimate Society and is a recipient of the Bigsby Medal from the Geological Society of London, and a Philip Leverhulme Prize. She is Dean of Research and Innovation for the College of Physical Sciences and Engineering at Cardiff University.
