Professor Alexander Movchan

Professor, Chair of Applied Mathematics, Director of Research Centre for Mathematics and Modelling, University of Liverpool

Professor Movchan has published more than 300 research articles, five research monographs, and an advanced textbook in partial differential equations and asymptotic analysis, with applications in elasticity, metamaterials, photonics and fracture mechanics. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Aix-Marseille University and has served in editorial roles for the SIAM MMS (associate editor), Quart, J. Mech. And Appl. Math. (board member) and Mathematika (editor).
