Menna Ellis

Menna is the Society’s Events and Awards Officer. Working closely with the Head of Equity and Engagement, she organizes and facilitates our Fellowship based online and in-person events and oversees the FLSW Event Support programme.

In her role she also coordinates the LSW Medals and Awards cycle and it’s Awards Ceremony whilst also supporting LSW’s communications output.

Menna completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Reading before earning an MA in Journalism, Media, and Communication from Cardiff University.

A fluent Welsh speaker, Menna learned Welsh through her Welsh-medium education and enjoys using the language in her role.

Menna worked for Sky on their ‘Sky Up Academy Studios on Tour’ scheme in Rhondda Cynon Taff and completed an events-based internship at Amgueddfa Cymru’s St Fagans site, before joining us in late 2023.

In her free time, Menna enjoys weekly tap dancing classes and volunteers at her local foodbank.
