We aim to fund workshops that promote collaboration across different disciplines, institutions and organisations and create new opportunities for future research activities. In this round, we will be able to fund up to 22 projects for institutions in Wales. Projects will need to align with one of the following research themes:

• Wales Studies
• Early Career Researchers
• Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences
• Pathways to Peace (sponsored by Academi Heddwch Cymru)

Up to £1000 is available per project. Workshops under the Pathways to Peace stream, which include an international partner, may apply for up to £2000.

Before submitting your application, make sure to carefully read the following guidance documents:

• Guidance for Applicants (including eligibility criteria)
• Question Bank (A list of the questions you will be asked to answer when completing the online application form)

Please note: Applications for the Research Workshop Grant Scheme 2026-27 are now closed.
