Professor Douglas Kell CBE FBiol FLSW

Professor Douglas Kell, of the School of Chemistry and the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, Manchester University has been awarded a CBE for his services to science and research science in the New Year honours, announced on 31 December 2013.

 

Ceridwen Roberts OBE AcSS FLSW

Ceridwen Roberts, Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and member of Oxford Centre for Family Law and Policy, was appointed OBE for services to social science in the New Year honours, announced on 31 December 2013.

 

Professor Dianne Edwards CBE ScD FRSE PLS FLSW FRS

In December, Professor Edwards, Vice President (Sciences) of the Society was awarded the Lapworth Medal of the Palaeontological Association. She was also recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Technical Faculty of Science at Uppsala University. Professor Edwards is a Distinguished Research Professor in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at Cardiff University.
