Joe is in charge of the Society’s internal and external communications. This covers the production of the Fellows’ bulletin and our monthly newsletter. He also manages our website and social media channels. He supports the rest of the team by promoting the research and policy work we do, the events we run and the reports and publications we produce. He joined in January 2020, two months before Covid sent us into lockdown. 

Joe’s background is in sport magazines and internet sites. He is also an occasional freelance writer, with a focus on green technologies, the environment and football. 

He was a local councillor on Cardiff Council for ten years until May 2022 and plans to run the London Marathon in 2023.

His usual working days are Monday – Thursday, 9.00am – 4.00pm.
