Professor Nigel John FLSW has been awarded a higher doctorate – a Doctor of Science (DSc) – by the University of Chester. 

Professor John’s research has been mainly focussed on the application of visualization and virtual environments to medical applications.

He submitted 12 of his most significant publications from across his research career, together with a rational for the impact that this research has made. The goal has been to improve the treatment and diagnosis of different ailments to the benefit of both healthcare professionals and their patients. Following assessment by external referees, the University of Chester conferred the DSc in June 2021.
