Nomination Cycle 2026-27 Open
Introducing and meeting our new Fellows at this year’s Annual Dinner and AGM in May was, as ever, a highlight of the Society’s year and there was a special atmosphere as we welcomed friends old and new last month.
Events like this demonstrate why our Fellowship is such a unique feature of Welsh civic and academic life.
To build on this, we now need your help. It is you, our Fellows, who drive the nomination of our next cohort. That’s why we hope you will take two minutes to read this email and consider nominating someone as a future Fellow.
The 2026-27 election cycle is open
Our 2026-27 election cycle began on 1 June with the opening of the annual window for nomination for Fellowship. The nomination window will remain open until 31 October. Please consider proposing suitable candidates.
As a Fellow you can propose up to three nominees in an election year, but if those nominees are from currently under-represented groups (women and minority ethnicities), then there is no cap on how many you can propose.
How to nominate: forms, guidance and refreshed web pages
You can find forms and guidance documents for 2026-27 here.
For any questions, advice, and assistance, please email nominations@lsw.wales.ac.uk.
The Fellowship section of our website contains all the information you should need about our current Fellows, the nomination process, Cenhadon (our university representatives) and scrutiny committees.
