Supported by the LSW, this two-day symposium is aimed at reviewing the evidence that synaptic dysfunction is a primary causal factor in most, if not all, neuropsychiatric disorders.

It will consider the molecular and genetic evidence for the role of synaptic protein mutations in psychiatric disorders before exploring functional studies in mouse models of schizophrenia, autism, and fragile X.

A key part of the programme will be the discussion around the talks and in breakout groups, which we hope will foster future collaborations.
