In this Inaugural Public Lecture for Arloesi Pontio Innovation, Professor Sir John O’Reilly DSc FIET FRAeS FREng FLSW returns to Bangor to speak about the need for engineers to embrace creativity with the addition of ‘A’ for Arts into the STEM agenda.
One of the UK’s most eminent engineers and a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales, Sir John O’Reilly was previously Director General of Knowledge and Innovation for the UK Government from 2013 to 2015. He was also Head of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Bangor University and went on to be Chief Executive of the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and Vice-Chancellor of Cranfield University.
