Professor the Baroness llora Finley of Llandaff FLSW is an internationally renowned expert in palliative medicine, who developed a postgraduate course that has taught over 2,000 doctors in the field. Her work has been highly influential on government policy in areas including bereavement in children, organ donation, prisoner care and smoking in public places. She is a Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords, and recently took up the post of Chair of the Board of Governors at Cardiff Metropolitan University. She is Co-Chair of Living and Dying Well, which researches and analyses the evidence surrounding the end-of-life debate.
Baroness Finlay is a distinguished Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.
