The Most Reverend Dr Barry Morgan, Archbishop of Wales and the
Right Reverend Dr Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury,
discuss the religious poetry of R. S. Thomas, commemorating
the centenary of the late poet’s birth
Chair: Professor M. Wynn Thomas, RS Thomas’s literary executor
On the hundredth anniversary of the birth of R. S. Thomas, one of the great modern poets of spiritual quest, it is fitting that two of the most eminent churchmen of today – Dr Rowan Williams, Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge and former Archbishop of Canterbury, and Dr Barry Morgan, Archbishop of Wales – consider the precious legacy of his vision.
