Fiona Gaskell

Fiona is the Society’s Fellowship Officer and runs the Society’s Fellowship Election Cycle. This covers the election process (the production of nomination packs; promotion to potential nominees; obtaining references; scrutiny by existing Fellows; the Fellows’ ballot) and the induction of new Fellows. She has oversight of the data held by the Society on Fellows and uses this to support initiatives led by the Fellowship Committee and the staff team. She also has responsibility for the Society’s award of medals each year.

Fiona joined the Society in March 2019 after a two-year break following a long career in IT (which goes some way to explain her fondness for spreadsheets, statistics, and business process improvement).

Fiona works part-time and by way of light relief enjoys such diverse activities as climbing, wild swimming and Scottish Country Dancing.
