Arsha Kaur
Arsha Kaur is the Researcher Development Programme Officer at the Learned Society of Wales, where she works closely with the Researcher Development Programme Manager to support the development of researchers and research communities across Wales.
Previously, Arsha worked as a Community Development Support Officer (Health, Social Care and Wellbeing) at Cardiff Third Sector Council, where she supported voluntary and community organisations to influence local health and wellbeing priorities. Her work contributed to community-led prevention initiatives, including the Improving Cancer Journey (ICJ) Cardiff programme and the Minority Ethnic Communities Health Fair in Cardiff, and later supported place-based organisations through initiatives such as the development of Cardiff Community Anchor Organisation Network, helping to strengthen community voice and connections with policy, practice, and research.
In previous roles, Arsha has also contributed to prevention-focused research across public health and cardiovascular science, supporting qualitative and mixed-methods research, public involvement activities, and knowledge exchange between researchers and communities. Her research contributions included work on cardiovascular health and risk in women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) with Wales Centre for Health, Activity and Wellbeing Research, as well as engagement with early-career researcher communities at a European level through the European Society for Prevention Research, where she also serves as Chief Editor for an Early Career Researcher Forum and advise on engagement strategies to support ECR participation and inclusion.
Originally from India, Arsha now calls Wales home and is committed to strengthening inclusive research communities across Wales. Outside of work, she volunteers with Cardiff Dogs Home, giving her time to support a cause close to her heart.
